Transcription: In 1921, a Swedish expedition began the first excavations at Dragon Bone Hill. They found what was thought to be a human tooth. Soon after, Davidson Black mounted a massive excavation, carefully sifting through tons of rubble. Many fragments of reptiles, animals and birds were uncovered. Even a few more tantalizing fragments of human teeth. But it wasn't until late 1929, on the day before the expedition was to be abandoned for the winter, that an associate of blacks, Pei Wen Chun, found the first Peking man, Scull.
